With a new grand baby in the family I have been very unorganized and busy this holiday season, and I have not been keeping up with my blogging. So here I am the last day of my vacation, trying to update the blog with all that has happened over the last two weeks.
The tree and the lights went up the weekend of Thanksgiving. The weather was mild and made putting up the lights a pleasant affair. There is nothing worse than trying to manipulate cold, stiff lights with cold fingers.
The rest of the holiday season was spent shopping for “the perfect gift” for all of our friends and family. Most of our shopping was done on-line and the presents arrived on our doorstep. No crowds, no long lines, and best of all no frustration. I LOVE Amazon.com!!
The week before Christmas it was time to wrap presents. We pulled out all of the gifts, paper, tags, bags and bows. I turned on some Holiday tunes, John opened up a bottle of wine. Normally I put most gifts in gift-bags, but kids like to open presents so we wrapped everything this year. By the time we were done wrapping presents, I was feeling pretty good from all of the wine.
Fortunately I didn’t get any of the presents mixed up. Now we just had to wait for Christmas to get here.
