Finally Christmas Eve is here! Every year my parents (Candy and Jerry) put on a big dinner event. Lobster, steak, more cookies than you can count and lots of beer and wine.

This year is extra special because of the new addition to the family, grand-baby Riesa. There is nothing like a child to remind you of  the true spirit and miracle of Christmas. Unfortunately Riesa’s daddy, Zane, had to work and couldn’t be with us.

For the first time in 4 years my son Brad, discharged from the Army in September, and his German bride, Julia gathered around the table with us.

John’s daughter, Tiffany and her fiance Josh also joined us for the celebration.

There was a lot of silliness going on while we waited for supper to be ready. It could have had something to do with all of the wine and beer that was flowing.

Britta introduce Riesa to apple sauce today. She was a little iffy about it at first. It sure doesn’t taste like mama’s milk or rice cereal.

With full bellies and warm hearts we ended the evening anticipating Christmas Day and more celebration with family.

Chat me up peeps! We love to hear from you.
