We started our day at John’s sister’s house for lunch and gift giving. Tara, the family baby lover, scooped up Riesa and spent time playing with her and toting her around the house.
Jake, Bob and Deann’s Westie, demonstrated, for all of us, his amazing ability to open his own presents.
After we finished up at John’s sister’s house we headed back to Williamsport to my parent’s house again, for more food and gift giving.
Riesa’s Christmas outfit was a hit with everyone and was a perfect lead in to a very silly Christmas Day with my family. (do you see a pattern emerging?)
We were all amazed at Riesa tearing the paper off of her own presents. She was more interested in the paper than the toys but isn’t that the way it goes with babies?
There were a few touching moments. The one that stands out for me is when Britt opened up a gift made by Aunt Lois for Riesa. A beautiful handmade afghan that most likely took her many months to complete.

As the evening wore on everyone was getting more and more silly. Weird and funny faces seemed to be the most entertaining. Even Riesa gave us a funny face.

John and I hope you all had a Merry Christmas, filled with family, friends and warm wishes. God Bless.
