7:30am, despite the promise of snow, sleet and freezing rain, we pulled out of the driveway of the house we no longer owned and started our journey to Texas.
We made it a whopping 160 miles to Chambersburg, PA until road conditions deteriorated to the point we wanted to stop.
So we found a “Camp Wal-Mart” and parked behind another RV. Since we had the time, we did a little shopping, walked the dog, took a nap and had some supper.
The Wal-Mart plow dude said that it was going to turn to rain overnight and the snow should be pretty much gone. As long as it is gone from the roads, we will be happy.
We might not have made it far, but at least we didn’t have a “Failure to Launch”.
