After I picked Brittany up from work and dropped her off at home, I went to get my nails done. I knew it was going to be a while as I also wanted to get my toes done, so I was thinking about two hours or so.
We had a ham that we had gotten around Christmas time that we decided to cook for supper. It was a large ham with a bone through the middle, not the kind we normally buy. John was going to slow cook it for about two hours timing it for when I would be home.
Now the ham wouldn’t fit in the dutch oven we have because of the large bone in the ham. He had to find a way to get the bone out of the ham or just cut off the part that was too long. I’m not sure what normal people use when they need to cut a bone in half…heck I’m not sure what not so normal people do when they want to cut a bone in half. When John wants to cut a bone in half, he goes for the Saws-All. He promised me he put clean blades in the saw before he cut the ham.
Picture it in your head….a raw ham, a dutch over too small, John armed with a Saws-All. I’m just hoping no one saw him through the window. Who knows what they would have thought he was doing. I’m just glad the cops didn’t show up to find out what he was doing.
