For the past few days the weather has been yucky! It has been about 27 degrees in Coffeyville and rainy. Yes I said rainy! Look at our poor babies!
It is the most bizarre weather we have been in since leaving Pennsylvania. Everything froze over.
We almost couldn’t get the doors on the Jeep open, and the steps in and out of the RV would not retract. Took John hours outside with a heat gun to get the steps unfrozen.
Our slide awning wouldn’t go in because the roller mechanism was frozen.
It took most of us who wanted to leave on the 23rd a day and a half just to get enough ice off of our rigs to be able to pull the slides in, clear connectors of ice, and get the jacks up.
Then as we were leaving Buckeye campground it started to snow.
And snow.
And snow.
It reminded us of our December 2012 departure from Pennsylvania last year:
We really need to stop doing this.
