It was a beautiful day. The air was cool but the sun was warm; a perfect 2nd day of spring. We decided to just work around the house rather than go on a big outing as John is still not feeling 100%.
He is working on the living room and spent the day pulling down ceiling tile and insulation. Messy. I worked on the yard, pulling weeds, raking leaves and just general clean up. Since the dogs were not going to go for a walk, I kept them busy following me around and hauling away debris to the back of the yard.
That night we went out to dinner with 5 of our friends. It has become a monthly event that we all look forward too. After eating at the Bridge Tavern, someone suggested that we do something else, since the night was still young. Group sex and bowling were the two options brought up. At our age we figured the group sex thing wouldn’t last long and probably wouldn’t be worth the effort so we decided to go bowling instead (*wink*).
It had been years since most of us had been bowling. I’m talking 15 years plus for most of us. The entertainment value watching each other try to bowl was high. Let’s just say there were a lot of gutter balls and 1 and 2 pin hits. John’s high score was a 140 and mine was a 96. As the night wore on we joked about how far past our bedtime we were all staying out. I actually was feeling a little tired.
It was a lot of fun and a very different kind of activity for us.
