As our time in Arizona comes to an end we have been reminiscing about all of the fun stuff we did, the spectacular scenery and the things we didn’t get to see.
We love this area, the Verde Valley of Arizona. Next year we will definitely be back in our effort to escape from the cold.
Sedona is one of our favorite scenic areas. The Red Rocks are spectacular.
Our favorite story is the legend of Bell Rock (left rock formation in the pic below). In 1987 about 5,000 visitors gathered around Bell Rock one evening waiting for the top to flip open and watch a UFO emerge. Well it didn’t happen and many of those people remained. Sedona is very…..new age as a result.
This rock formation is called Courthouse Butte.
I guess the rest have names too.
Though I can’t remember the rest. Should have written them down at the time.
But they are so beautiful, I guess it doesn’t matter.
Sedona is an artsy town but one of these shops was over the top. Metal works.
Peppers galore.
And lots of pottery.
Along with some interesting consumables.
Yeah, we will be back in this area again next year. Not ready to buy real estate but willing to visit again.
