We arrived in Utah nearly a week ago and have been working at our jobs as campground hosts. For another few days this will be our home on Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd, just outside of Salt Lake City.

So far our workday consist of dashing out between almost unrelenting rain showers to clean up the picnic areas in three separate locations in preparation for the start of picnic season. We’ve had a few picnickers but not to many are braving the cool temperatures and frequent showers.

The canyon is beautiful. This is the view out our front window.

Each night we are lulled to sleep by the stream in front of our campsite.

But alas it will soon be time for us to move on. We are being transferred farther north to Anderson Cove campground where we will spend the entire summer. Not our original plan but we both are excited about the move. More hours, more money and we will be working with some fun people.

I will miss of the snails we have crawling all over the place though.

Escargot anyone? Yeah, not me.
