I’ve had a wonderful 3 weeks with my son and his growing family, but it is time to home now.
Liam and I had lots of fun going to the park that is near their house. Playing in the park reminded me of what family life with little ones can be like.
It isn’t always as smooth as the inside of a big plastic play tube.
It is more like a swing with ups and downs, at times it can make a you dizzy, but it is the moments that “tickle your tummy” that make it all worthwhile.
Taking photos at important moments preserve them for sharing at later time…though a formal photo shoot is not always necessary. This is little Ryan’s first photo shoot. Layin’ down on the job I see!
But all this fun and newness can’t last. Soon reality sets in; the new-baby-visitors leave and the glamour of being “the family on the block with a new baby” wears off, it is time to get down to business.
The Hart family is adjusting, though one is having more trouble than the others.
For now life is centering around the basics….like feeding the kids.
In some cases every two hours and all through the night.
Hosting play-dates with neighbor kids, sort of. They didn’t really play “together”.
There is one thing you have in abundance with little ones….messes. Liam does a great job of helping his Dad clean them up though.
Speaking of messes…with two in diapers there is a lot of baby changing going on. Daddy’s pretty good at it too!!!! Ewwwww!!
It seems the only thing in short supply is sleep. Mom and Dad catch a nap whenever possible.
Having small children in a house previously occupied by only adults can be stressful at times, but adult beverages help a lot!
Time for G’ma to hop on a plane home, until next time….awe really??!!! My flight is delayed again! I just can’t win!
