In our 3 years on the road we have seen all kinds of homes on wheels. Some that cost well over a million dollars with all of the cool toys (boats, ATV’s…), to the starving musician in his rusty car and tent with duct tape covering the holes. What they, we, all have in common is our love of the freedom this life style provides.
At Quartzsite, 750,000+ people show up in 100,000+ rolling homes show up to live in the desert, the majority “off the grid”, hiding from the cold and snow of the Northern area of the county.
I have a lot of fun looking for those unique vehicles, not to make fun or feel sorry for anyone. It is more a testament to their minimalist life style, or the innovativeness it took to create their home on the road. Here are some of my favorites from this year at “The Q”.
