North Carolina Adventures

John finished his most recent flight simulator move mid-April and we have traveled home to Pennsylvania once again for the summer and early fall seasons.

So what have we been doing all winter, you ask. Well let’s get caught up.

In January we traveled to Fletcher, NC and stayed at a campground we had previously done some workamping, Rutledge RV Park. John was putting in heating and air conditioning units and I continued my studies for my MTE certification.

It was uneventful except for snow….

…and the Jeep stranding us at Sierra Nevada Brewing. Luckily a fellow camper was able to tow us back to camp.

John got our baby all fixed up with a new ignition switch.

On our way to Charlotte, NC for John’s simulator job, we were able to take a couple of days to visit with family and play with the grandkids…

We ended up having some trouble with the RV on the way to his job and stayed in the Charlotte area for an entire month until John got the problem diagnosed and fixed.

Pennsylvania during this time received 2 feet of snow and we decided that there was no need for us to rush home just yet. We meandered on over to Littleton, NC to Gaston Lake for a 2-week stay.

The lake was gorgeous, the campers were super friendly and Littleton had some surprises for us. Those will be in later posts.

While waiting for the snow to melt up north, and timing our drive north with daughter-in-law Julia we moved up to Goose Point Army Corps of Engineers Campground in Virginia for a few days.

We normally cannot get our rig into ACE parks, and you can see why.

The Lake View was awesome, though I didn’t get to see it. I was sequestered in the coach taking my final exam for the couple of days we were at the park.

April 20th and we are Pennsylvania bound!

Chat me up peeps! We love to hear from you.
