Ives Run and Hammond Lake

Two years ago when we were in Pennsylvania, we and the family took a trip to Tioga County and had a wonderful picnic day at Hammond Lake. With Aunt Julia back in town a return trip was planned.

It wasn’t quite as hot as it was two years ago and it made for a much more pleasant outing.

John and I decided to come up a few days early and camp. The park is amazingly beautiful being situated high in the northern hills of Pennsylvania. Not only is the lake and picnic area breathtaking but the campground has paved roads, paved campsites and lots of places to ride our bikes.

On Saturday, after the rest of the family traveled up from Williamsport, we ate, changed into bathing suits and headed for the lake.

At first the boys stayed close to shore where the water was shallow and there was plenty of sand to play in.

Ryan enjoyed walking on the water break.

And then in the shallows.

Eventually venturing further and further out. This kid has no fear.

It didn’t take him long to trust his floatation device and he was soon paddling around in the deeper water, not seeming to care that he couldn’t touch bottom.

Liam was also a little tentative, but with Aunt Darlene’s help, was soon swimming around in the deeper water too.

Soon mama was lifting them up in the air, giving them a little toss for a splash-down in the water.

They were having a great time.

My favorite activity was taking candid shots of Liam. He makes some of the best faces. He just beams with happiness!

Liam and Ryan are definitely water-loving kids. But alas, the Hart vacation is over and the boys and their mama will be heading south again back home to North Carolina.

Until next we see you again…Love you all so much.

Chat me up peeps! We love to hear from you.
