We discovered this trail by accident our first time here. It leads from Dead Horse Point State Park down a rough 3 miles before dropping into the canyon and then on a highway that will take you into Moab. This year we did the trail with Andy and Candy.
This trail is dedicated to Utah peace officers who lost their lives or survived multiple gunshot wounds in the line of duty. Trail is 12 miles long and took us about 4 hours
The trailhead is just outside of Ken’s Lake Campground where we happen to be camping with Andy and Candy. The trail is listed as 3 1/2+ which usually requires modified vehicles. After having to turn around we headed the opposite way until the road came to a dead end and we found caves in the side of the mountain.
We found this Arch by accident on our off-way to The Needles Overlook of Canyonlands. We had a good time climbing to the arch and around the whole rock. Andy and Candy were with us on this adventure.
A section of Canyonlands that is removed from the Canyonlands more popular section. Visited this area with Andy and Candy.
